Our pastor, Dorothy "Faye" Higbee, comes from a law enforcement background. Her education includes an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Law Enforcement, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, both from Idaho colleges. She was ordained in 2001, after 23 years of service to various parts of the Body of Christ. One of the ministers who participated in the ordination was Bill Norton, of Yuba City, California. His prophetic word at her ordination included a statement that she would "reach many by the use of the internet," and that she would be able to "wear many hats." (Yes, including the costume one in the picture...smile).
After coming to Christ in 1978, Faye served on two church boards; off and on from1985-2003 as prayer chairman, secretary, and worship leader for a local Aglow; 1990-2003 as drama coach and choir pianist for a local Assembly of God Church., She has served with several different ministries in administration, counseling, prayer, and teaching. She currently serves as a local facilitator and website editor for A Company of Women International, as well as Pastor of Raven Ministries.
Faye is a published author, having miracle testimonies in such anthologies as "Miracles Still Happen" and "Extraordinary Miracles in the Lives of Ordinary People" both by Harrison House, and "Miracles of Nature" and "Miracles and Animals" part of the "When Miracles Happen" series by Guideposts. She is also an author of fiction, with the publication of "Night Games" by Publish America under the pen name of C. J. Ravenscroft.
Faye and her husband are both technically retired, her from the Coeur d'Alene Police Department Services Division in North Idaho (over 31 years), and Myron from Aging and Adult Services where he served as both Ombudsman and Supervisor for Adult Protection.
Faye's husband Myron enjoys treasure hunting with his metal detector, as well as rock hunting for semi-precious gems. Faye loves to take photos of nature with her digital camera, and has won awards for her unusual perspective. They both enjoy creating jewelry when time permits.
Myron's children are grown, and are beloved blessings to the whole family. Dana is a Doctor in Denver, Colorado, and Jerry serves in the National Guard as well as works in computer software in Spokane, WA. His lovely wife's name is Mindy, and they have two cherished daughters, Madeleine and Niesa.
